DTH Channels new price list by TRAI. Which Channel Cost How Much?

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority Of India) has launched a new price list for all DTH services & cable operators. TRAI has launced new price list on and after 29th December. So if you have  Airtel Digital TV, Reliance DTH,Tata Sky, Dish TV, Videocon D2H, Sun Direct etc or you have set top cable services then yhe price will be change for you and you have to contact with your service provider for new channel list, You have to pay minimum Rs 130 along with 18% gst for all free to air channels.

New Rules Issued After 29th December:

1. In 130 Rupees you can enjoy 25 DD Channels + More than 100  Free to Air Channel.
2.  From Now on You have to pay minimum 130 Rupees to watch TV.
3. All the rules will be applicable from 29th of December,2018.

Top TV Channels Price rate (Monthly)

1. Zee Entertainment: Rs 45 (24 channels)
2.Star India: Rs 49 (13 channels)
3.Sony Pictures Network: Rs 31 (9 channels)
4.Discovery Networks: Rs 8 (8 channels)
5.Disney:  Rs 10 (7 channels)

Paid Channel:

Paid channels can be catagorised into three parts.
1. Individual Cannels: Colors= Rs.19
                       Discovery= Rs. 4
                                       Star Plus= Rs.19

2. A-la-carte: Zee Channel Pack: Rs 45
                        StarPack= Rs. 49

3. Bouquets: In this catagory channel has little less price like Zee, Colors, Star Channels.

Why TRAI has done this?

TRAI has done a research and found that maximum viewers of India mostly watch only 30 to 40 dhannels on regular basics but their service provider like Airtel Digital TV, Reliance DTH,Tata Sky, Dish TV, Videocon D2H, Sun Direct they charge the viewers price for 300-400 channels which value is 250-400 Rupees per month. So in this process viewers have to face loss they have to pay full amount for few channels. So TRAI has comeup with great idea now you can choose what you want to see. You don't have to pay any extra amount for this. But you have to pay minimum 130 rupees for free channels with 18% gst.
